James S. Scherling Esq.

Mr. Scherling is a 1975 graduate of New York Law School. He is a founding partner of the firm Tepper, Scherling & Berliner specializing in the practice of petitioner's workers' compensation.

He has appeared before every Worker's Compensation Court in the State of New Jersey over a thirty-five year period.

During the course of his practice, he has represented individuals who are totally disabled as a result of their work related injury and also individuals who have been adjudicated totally disabled as a result of a combination of the last workers' compensation injury in addition to all other pre-existing medical and physical conditions. He has represented people who have been injured as a result of being exposed to toxic chemicals, dust, fumes and debris.

Along with his workers' compensation practice, Mr. Scherling has also represented many individuals in seeking disability from the Social Security Administration over the course of the last 35 years.

He has handled Social Security/Disability cases from their inception up to hearings before Administrative Law Judge and Appellate Practice.

His practice remains exclusively representing injured workers before the New Jersey Workers' Compensation Courts and individuals applying for Social Security/Disability benefits.

Mr. Scherling has practiced law for the past thirty-five years and remains a member of the New Jersey Association for Justice, Essex County Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association.

Mr. Scherling is admitted to practice before all N.J. State Courts, the United States Supreme Court and the Federal District Court of New Jersey.
